Ringwood Live is an open mic performance venue located in Ringwood, New Jersey.
Our mission is to provide an environment that allows for music to be performed live
for an audience and for everyone to have a good time. Formerly known as Hand Made Music
This revamped attempt to foster interchange and colloquy now includes a greater range
of options. And we hope, a greater purpose - In these times you need
A CHEAP NIGHT OUT!

Where else can you rock out - snack out - and go home feeling good
knowing all the money you spent went for doing good work for charity?

Ringwood Live is typically held on the third Saturday of each month at
The Community Presbyterian Church,
145 Carletondale Road in Ringwood New Jersey.
This date can vary due to availability of the room - So always check this page.
Please do not call the church for info, they are our hosts,
an outside volunteer group handles running Ringwood Live.

All are invited to come out and perform. Singers, guitarists and
other acoustic musicians are most welcome. We encourage musicians
of all levels of experience to perform their music on stage in front of
our audience. The only guideline that we have is that you actually perform
your music with your own voice or on the instrument of your choice - we
are a KARAOKE FREE ZONE. We provide a very good PA system along
with microphones, direct boxes, and guitar and bass amp.
We now have the capacity for drummers to join in ! A modest electronic kit
will be ready to go on stage. All performers are required to
make use of the in house gear we provide, as there just is
NOT enough TIME to drag drumkits and amp stacks on and off the
stage, and leave enough time for PLAYING!

Please make any requests for exemptions to this policy or to add gear
we don't have by email before the night you want to perform - and we
will try to accomodate you.

You can submit a request to be a "featured artist" and get a block
of time for a mini set! Please note, this option is only available to
artists who have previously attended our event.

Ringwood Live isn’t just for musicians, we welcome poetry and
dramatic readings, performance art and stand up comedy, within limits -
after all this is hosted in a church gym and our audience is
made up of all ages.

Depending upon the number of musicians wishing to perform, your amount of
stage time may vary. At a minimum you will get 2 songs or ten minutes of stage
time. If turn out is light, perhaps you will get more time, however, if we have a
full slate we will go with the 2 song or ten minute rule because we want to give
everyone their chance to perform A $3 donation is recommended for all
performers and audience members.

We also accept a Food Bank donation in place of the $3!

We are a not for profit venture, and the admission helps to defray some
of our costs. All funds beyond our expenses are donated to
the church's Mission Fund which benefits regional charities .

go to : The Center for Food Action

Refreshments and snacks are available for
nominal charges.
The usual "coffee house" fare - Dessert items,
soda, tea, coffee, snacks
Don’t worry a warm can of soda isn’t $2.50
